Here's a clean looking 05 TT S, tip for $59,950. They may need to sell quick to settle some pending litigation expenses relating to a not so rare Carrera Speedster...

Agreed, those wheels are way over the top. Otherwise it is a nice car.

It doesn't have a RUF VIN, which it should if it is a true R Turbo, and the 'RTurbo' should be on the back where the 'Turbo' is, and not stuck on the glass. Seems like it was purchased from Porsche and then had the RUF kit installed, and the story about the wheels is bogus (as I am pretty sure 20's to fit a 996 didn't exist in 2001). Definitely not a full RUF build, so should not be advertised as a RUF.

and yeah, I don't recall seeing a lot of 20s back in 2001. Moreover, would Ruf actually endorse that wheel diameter on a 996?

I had a RUF 550 Rturbo built by the factory. Each RUF car, whether built as a RUF VIN or built on a Porsche VIN chassis will carry a certificate of Authenticity from RUF along with a detailed invoice of what is on the car. The car in question is a total fake. The wheels are not RUF, the exhaust is not RUF, on and on. The only thing that is RUF is the rear decklid badge which they stuck on the rear window.
A standard genuine RUF Rturbo car will have the following:
A. RUF Rturbo engine mods including RUF turbochargers (520 Rturbo is K16 based, 550 and 590 Rturbo is K24 based), RUF intake manifold and intake pipes, RUF fuel filter, RUF label ECU (can not be flashed), RUF exhaust utilizing 100cpi HJS cats (RUF by the way never made an exhaust with speed dependent bypass pipes as the seller claims)
B. RUF clutch which based on a Sachs Motorsport pressure plate and a solid GT2 disc.
C. RUF suspension which included RUF PSS10 based coilovers, RUF rear sway bar
D. RUF wheels: 19x8.5x11 5 spoke cast wheels made by Speedline (narrow body 56/70mm offset using 7mm/35mm RUF spacers) or 18x8.5x12 modular 5 spoke made by Speedline
E. RUF brakes: 350 front and rear brembo calipers with RUF labels
F. RUF front bumper with front GT2 coolant pipes and hoses, RUF rear wing, RUF exterior badging front and rear, RUF mirrors, RUF door sills, RUF strut brace, RUF pedals, RUF instrument cluster, RUF 360mm steering wheel, RUF badged seats

So it's a fugazi, didn't take long given so many obvious inaccuracies plus Powerhound's confirmation.
That R logo with Turbo script on the rear window is like a fish out of water. The Ruf paperwork is hard to read, at least for me.
I think there's more pics here, including dyno sheet and Ruf invoices. I wonder what the real story is...
