Love the white exterior, but the interior might actually cause nightmares....
(though strangely appropriate for valentines day?)

They've been trying to sell that car for a while. I remember looking at in November. Wife called it the Demon Child.

Maybe the auction fell through. The car is here in Seattle at Park Place.

No affiliation, just get their inventory updates in my e-mail and figured I'd pass along:

Just curious, I'd like a cab at some point.
I have to say I really like that color though (maroon cab), not the interior disaster one, just personal. On the turbo side, I intentionally bought a non-x50 car for the reason you noted. After thinking about use and that I spend 100x more time below 5000rpm, the substantially lower rpm where boost and torque came in simply made it a better daily driver. Hard to resist the added collectible aspects of the x50 and S models though. Had to make myself be practical (which I seldom am).

It says Turbo Power Kit on the window sticker, just like mine.

From an old post:

1. After studying several 996 Turbo stickers I find that:

2. No more than 3 rows of options are ever printed. (not including the Porsche Exclusives (09991, 00051, etc.)

3. The country code is in top-left position, then "X" options, then three-number options, all in alphabetical order, left to right, top to bottom. "X" option codes with 3 letters come before the numbered versions (X50, etc.)

4. Some option codes are different or missing from the COE. This was significant in my case.

5. Careful searching yielded great results.

My car is heavily optioned, so no 3-number options are even shown, threw me at first. Anyway hope this info can help someone.....
My vehicle is also heavily optioned and I have all the codes in far more than 3 rows printed. Maybe it was only US cars they limited the option code sticker (mine is EU delivered).

What year? I should have mentioned I was only looking at '04 & '05, but yes, only US cars. Of course the samples I looked at may or may not be representative, but all stickers I examined conformed to the attributes I mentioned.

'01 build and MY.
You are correct however that many options are missing the codes... in addition to the above codes and options, I have found the following also fitted to my vehicle:

537 - Seat memory, left
692 - 6-disc CD changer Becker Porsche CDC-3
CUT - Leather covered A-pillar/windscreen frame
CUX - Leather covered rear seat release levers
CVC - Leather covered clothes hook on B-pillar
XNH - Leather side vent, left/right defroster trim
XNN - Leather centre air vent bracket
XPA - Leather covered airbag module for 3-spoke steering wheel
XTC - Leather door panel parts
XN7 - Leather Parking Brake Lever

and for the curious what all this leather looks like :P

Nice. All that leather gives it a made-by-hand look. I have to say I'm not usually a fan of the woods, but in combo with your interior colors & materials it looks very nice indeed.

Does the car have either of the "leather package" options (I think they were "large" and "small" bundled leather options). I believe several of the individual leather parts you listed are part of one of those packages. If so I would have thought that just the bundled leather option code would be listed instead of each specific part option. Maybe the car was ordered with each specific leather part option and not either of the bundled leather options.

yeah, I can't explain it. I am thinking too that it was not ordered by a customer, as then I would assume it would have to be ordered through the Exclusive program and therefore have an exclusive build option code. What is also weird is that this car was bought through a Belgium PC, but immediately re-registered in Spain. The first owner was in fact a Swede who had a holiday villa in Spain - so it was a 'vacation' car until she imported it back to Sweden in 2009. So I get the feeling that Porsche built this car as a show car, to display all of the leather options available, of which a PC in Belgium picked up off the Porsche build list and brought it into stock. Then the 1st owner fell in love with it on the show room floor and bought it (otherwise why not order it from PC in Sweden or Spain?). I could stand corrected, however this is at least how it worked with BMW when I worked for them in the early 2000's... any BMW dealerships in Australia could see what cars were being built for Australia... which ones on the factory line were being built for customers and which were being built to fill the import quota... so if a dealer saw a nice, unique example, they could nab it for their own stock.
