Default Porsche count

Drove down to Carmel for my anniversary from the Sacramento area. Saw one Boxter on the way during the 4 hour drive. While in Carmel over night, 2 997 turbos, 1 997 turbo S, 1 997 cab, 1 966, 1 Cayan gts and 1 turbo. No Mclarens this time and an older Ferrari getting the oil changed at the Shell station. Lots of nice cars in that town.

Ooh, a 966 eh? I can't remember the last time I saw one of those - very rare indeed!

I think I got that one mixed up. (Rare is a nice term for it) I am fairly new to the porsche world and do not have a good grasp of all the model numbers. Looking at Panorama tonight it think it was a 993.

Ah, I was just giving you a hard time. I figured it was just a typo and you meant 996.

I dont remember the last time I saw a Turbo out in the wild by me, not counting cars and coffee meets or at a dealership.

I usually see quite a few Porsche's here in Miami on a given day, very very seldom a 996 turbo though. In the past couple months I have seen 1 silver 996T. There is also a black one around here (besides mine, lol) but it's been a while since I've seen it around. Oh, and of course the few times I have seen them I'm not in mine...that would be just too much luck!

tonnes of Porsche in Toronto and tonnes of 996 turbos. These cars barely get noticed unless parked right in front of you.

Third Reef - I owe you an apology. You apparently have ESP. See post 354 here:

Wow, nice looking 966. That's not what I saw in carmel. No apologies required, it's amazing that I didn't transpose the numbers with my borderline dislexia. I do it all the time at work, it can skew the data at times.
