PDK only because it is all about lap times.

I think this version of the GT4 was built for a new race series similar to Carrera Cup. Thus the paddle shifting just like the 991 Cup cars.

maybe seems it lets gentlemen racers the opportunity to race and not have all the skill required that a manual requires. Helps even the playing field.

Racing is just not that way anymore. There are no H pattern gearboxes in road course race cars except in very entry level series.

Porsche doesn't want any series where they supply all the cars to be looked at as entry level or antiquated. These cars are quite expensive to buy and compete with. That customer is expecting top of the line equipment. PDK is top of the line.

there are not a lot of cars I'd rather have for daily fun than a 911 turbo but that'd have to be one of them.

I'm more curious about the rear wheel steering of the new gt3 and even the new 991s. I wonder what THAT is like.

http://www.popularmechanics.com/cars...ring-16311550/ Has been around for a while but the GT3s system is more advanced for better or worse.

Using the PDK instead of a paddled controlled dog box like in the 991 cup makes it cheaper and saves running cost and probably motors depending on driver
