I put this on 6speed to but thought you track nuts overhear would like it too:

Your student pulls out two of the cars you would most like to get some laps in The owner was a great guy really good driver who races a pro trophy track in the Baja 1000. Good to see someone buy a car to enjoy and drive as intented!

Both where as good as you would expect then some. The 918 acceleration was very strong and seamless. The RS as it should, felt like a really strong and planted GT3.

You can add me to your list, as I enjoy and drive my 996 Turbo as intended.

The impressive thing to me is that the owner has deep enough pockets to put both cars (at what...maybe $1.2 million total) at risk on the track.

I agree Dock, and at market value it might closer to 1.5m with what the dealers were getting. The RS was his wife's fair weather DD and the Spyder was his

Are these Ben Treynor's cars? I know he is mainly a Ferrari guy, but thought I'd ask anyway.

This year the race car was down, so I did a lot instructing with NASA, PCA, Ferrari owners day, ect. helps keep you in the groove and I got to drive a bunch of great cars. He was new to the road course, but I think his experience of driving events like the Baja 1000 made driving on the track seems pretty mellow.
Great car control, listened really well and naturally drove a good line.
