Default Yamaha vs Porsche

I had a friendly contest with my buddy's '04 Yamaha FJR1300. Here is the video
http://www.986host.com/albums/rmrmd1956/BikevsCar.mpg
We ran 60mph to 160mph
This was at a closed circuit in Malaysia.

great film. what happened at the end-the bike accelerated past the tt, or they both reached 160, and the bike kept accelerating?

Yes, I braked at the top of 5th gear as I was coming up on other car fast(slow malaysian drivers). The bike rider kept on the gas for much longer.

RSRMD:

Where in NC do you live? I live in Charlotte and also have a modified 996TT, but not as much juice as yours. I would consider the EVO stage 4 or 5...

Any chance for a meeting?

Come on Stephen, an FJR1300 isn't representative of today's superbikes. Congrats on the race, but let's be honest, go race a GXSR 1000 and see what happens. FJR that kills me.

TT's can run with the 600's, barely. The big bore bikes will dust it unless you have some serious mods, and your only shot is starting from hwy speeds. Then you might be able to hang with them - but you will win in top speed..

That's what I'm saying. The GXSR 1000 does 1/4 miles in under 10 bone stock and can stop in a much, much shorter distance than any car.
