how can i clean the rust on the wheel hub area?
it's been 2 weeks since i've picked up the new 03 TT. noticed that on the rear driver side wheel hub (the grey area between the wheel & brake rotor) is rusted.
didn't take a close look since it's getting dark outside, but how can i clean the rust out, or i can't?? is it part of the rotor?
hate to see rust on my new car. didn't have it on my perious C4S. is it because the car has been setting in the dealer's lot for too long that caused this?

That gray area is just painted so, you
would remove the rust the same as any painted surface. If the paint's actually scratched off (and that's why it's rusting), and you car is a brand new car, you might complain to your dealer and get them to repaint them for you or replace them.
It would not be too difficult to repaint yourself (once you match the color). Just remove the rotors, carefully cover the rotor service and repaint the rotor hub.
Here's a site that includes instructions on how to change a boxster's rotors. The 996 TT is the same, as far as removal and installation.
