My first 500 miles - Turbos make other drivers lose it
I'm new to the 996TT - having only owned one other 911-based Turbo before - a 930.
I have noticed that a lot of owners of Asian cars seem to lose their minds when they share the freeway with a 996TT. Most afflicted are the Subaru drivers. It seems if their Outback has a turbo, then they are anxious to show off. But I've had a lot of stupid behavior from Accord sedan drivers and other Hondas in general. No special obnoxiousness from BMW drivers, who are all black belts in douchebaggery in my neighborhood, at least.
I've had people swerve 2' into my lane, zoom up on the rear bumper and brake a couple feet away -- at 70MPH -- cut over a couple lanes and weave in and out of traffic just to get ahead... its much worse than other Porsches I've owned in terms of provoking reckless behavior.
I live in LA where seeing a Lambo or Ferrari is a daily event and even a Veyron is barely worth mentioning. So why a 13 year-old Turbo provokes such behavior is beyond me.

I have a white TT and get nothing but approval from fellow drivers.
Part of my occupation deals with color evaluation and color choices so I keep abreast of color studies. Yellow is a color of aggression and agitation in most cultures. People tend to argue more in rooms with yellow walls. Maybe that tendency applies with your yellow Turbo?

Interesting observations, I wonder how much color comes into play. Car looks great in yellow by the way.
I’d think a louder color would indeed get more attention, but as an enthusiast it’s hard to imagine someone not noticing a GT2 -or a turbo- in traffic because it’s a more subdued color.

Mine is guards red with guards red wheels however, in my town, no one pays much attention except a few come a bit closer to the rear to try and read the lettering, then back off.
