Thumbs up For a Few Dollars More

As mentioned here ( The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly) my 996tt is currently in the shop with the engine out having the coolant fittings welded.

Last week I receive a call from my indy who informs me that he has a like new Porsche Motorsport 997 Cup LSD sitting on his shelf and it sure would fit nicely into that 996tt tranny.

I've wanted to install an LSD for some time now. However, after discovering my clutch was shot, the budget was becoming a bit stretched.

After a few sleepless nights wrestling with the decision...

...I decided to go for it.

While it only adds to the ever increasing delay until I get my ride back, I know it'll be worth it in the long run.

Until then, my anticipation level is reaching a feverish pitch. My friends and family are beginning to question my sanity....especially when I fall into one of my fits of uncontrolled maniacal laughter....

I'll report back on how the LSD affects my handling...uh, I mean, my car's handling.

Life is short. Live while you can. If your friends and family abandon you it will leave more free time to spend with your TT. I had a factory LSD in my '85 Carrera. It was bitchin.

Agreed. I had a factory LSD in my '89 928 GT. Couldn't believe my $142k super car came equipped without one. It'll be "fixed" soon.
