Here's a tip. If you get a ticket. Don't admit to any wrong doing to the officer.
Be polite to him/her(they might even let you off with a warning!)
I got pulled-over in my S4, by a hot red-headed babe-cop in MarinaDelRey.
I was doing 70 in a 45 on an s-curve(I couldn't help myself!). She asked me about my car, because she had never seen one before(a tricked-out S4 Avant) She let me off with a warning. I should have asked her out! HeeHee!
If he/she issues the ticket despite your politeness. Later-on, plead "Not Guilty"
and ask for a trail. If the Cop doesn't show, chances are, you'll be aquitted.
I successfully used that technique to get a ticket dropped inSanDiego. Another time I tried that in Denver; the dist. attorney plee bargined-down the charges. The third time I tried it in Burbank, the cop showed and I was toast. Still 2 outta 3 ain't bad!
The court system/cops/city hall banks on the fact that most motorists sheepishly pay the fines/don't fight the ticket. So in many cases it's not hard to "beat the rap".
You have nothing to lose, aand everything to gain by fighting the ticket.
