I used it when I first bought my Passport 9500ix. Seemed cool at first but was bothersome with linking up with my android phone . In theory it's a great idea, but there didn't seem to be many other drivers who were inputting data for uploading current conditions.
Waze may be an better alternative.

+1 for Waze as well. I use when travelling and it really helps in finding where the cops are.

TurboDan... the Fcar was just what the doctor ordered for a 24 year old with 0 assets. It was 300hp, transaxel, Borrani's, factory air. In 1974 not many knew what it was. Lucky happenstance that I ended up with it for two years of fun. Very little maintenence. Bought it for 9,500, sold it for a loss, worth 7 figures now.

I have a V1 radar detector that has been sitting on my garage table for the last year. Waze is better than pretty much any annoying radar detector IMO. Waze truly was a billion dollar idea!

Have used Live for years, no problem linking w iPhone. But, Lots of false alerts. Whether the info is stale or police moving same direction, I rarely use it anymore bc of the constant false alarms. I will try waze, which sounds like trapster. All appear to rely on crowd sourcing.

IMHO its useless. But I guess it depends on what roads you drive. I, for one, never speed on the highway. Any 'spirited driving' I do on B roads where such technology is of no use. Having a top notch K and Ka band detector is key.

I have it but rarely turn it on unless I am driving at least an hour away. I love 9500xi though. Escort has a deal through the end of July where they are including live for free.
