I am picking up my 996 on Monday and would like to direct wire my Redline (for the long road trip home) so that it powers on/off with ignition. which fuse circuit would you recommend using ( I won't have a test light with me )? I plan on using Add-a-Fuse but don't know the size of the fuses in the car !

I have to assume you are talking about your Escort Redline radar detector. If so why not simply plug it in to the cigarette lighter?

Used fuse E 7 with add-a-fuse-powers on/off with key . ran wire from fuse panel up left "A" pillar trim and across top of w/shield to visor-using visor clip for mount
works great -tanks for input
