Make sure your H&R's come with those clear plastic tubes (insulators) for the front springs. That prevents the springs from rubbing, creating that noise .

Install the H&R sway bars while you're at it. Makes a BIG difference.

Hi Gney996...

I have the H&R coilovers on my TT for little more than a year, and I've been battling noises ever since the first day. First I thought it was because of the GT3 sway bars. I bought a set of the Racer Group drop links which did not solve the problem of the links hitting the front axle. Then I got angled links for scargo which quieted the noise from the links, but I noticed there are still noises coming from the right side of the car when going over uneven road surfaces or accelerating up hills.

H&R customer support has absolutely been no help, and tell me that my problems are due to installation. My installer has done a number of H&R coilover kits on 996 C2 & C4's and they don't have the problems I do.

To me, if I were to do it again, I'd go with PSS-9's or RUF PSS-9 kit. The latter which I will be doing soon.

Just to add something, my kit does have the plastic insulators. Some of the first released kits did not.

I have the H&R with TRG drop links and GT3 sways front and rear. I love this set up and no noises what so ever, solid and very compliant.

In all fairness to H&R, I've taken rides in others 996TT with the H&R setup and they have been very good. Wilbur gave me a ride in his TT and the ride was very nice without any strange noises.

I like the height of the rear but the front is way too high!!
It is not only for esthetics but as we all know a lower center of gravity keeps the car better planted on the ground...especially once I get to 600HP. Also, I hate the way the stock suspension pops the front up every time you floor it and/or shift at WOT!!
