3 or 4 days is pretty minimal for any major/non major track related mods.

Depending on the miles on your car etc. since you also DD your car... you may consider some new "wear parts" like coolant hoses and for peace of mind pinning your coolant connections. You are covering the brakes...a good call there but also consider adjustable coilovers so you can enjoy both the DD and track settings.....my 2 cents worth

When I had my turbo the yokohama ad-08s were great.

Much better than ps2 and sticky and really communicated with you.

As a beginner if it's your first event just change the brake fluid and go from there.

The faster you get then you will want pads/rotors, seats/harnesses etc.

Slippery slope but it's fun.

What's your budget? I'm surprised nobody has mentioned fixed back seats.

I drive my car to and fro and also recommend UMWs flash. If were to penny pinch, I'd spend it on suspension but what do I know.

Here is an couple pics I have shared before:

Love the roof rack. Much cheaper than hidden trailer hitch and no weight added. Assume racks come off quickly?

Thanks. The racks come off easy but leave them on for track duty for the time being.

Yeah, the process for me when I arrive to track to swap wheels, brake pads and tighten suspension is about 45mins.

pin your coolant hoses first. if they open up on track you may spin into something hard. or the guy behind you may.
if running pca I believe it is a requirement.

Thanks for all the replies! I find it very interesting to see the way others think. By the way, I flush Motul 600 before every track weekend.

Selective given the choice between a 2nd set of wheels vs. UMW flash. I'd pick the flash, you will enjoy that all the time vs. only at the track.
