I'd personally go with enclosed especially this time of year with all the salt, slush, and filthy water that'll get splashed up underneath the car. However, I guess i'd just drive it home if you plan on daily driving it. Good luck with the purchase and that is a sharp combo that doesn't pop up too often.

Definitely covered transport during the winter months. I had a customers car shipped to me on an open transport during the winter. The car looked like it was a light gray when it got to Illinois from California, the car was really black!

Nice Car!

There aren't many in this colour.. Mine is same, except with black interior.

congrats on your new car.
I am sure you will love it.
I passed on a x 50 car midnight blue with same interior in the spring. the brown does not do it for me in a modern porsche. I wanted black with carbon for my turbo.
again enjoy driving her.

The ppi came in, I had a talk with the mechanic and he said the car is clean except for a leaky spoiler piston and what appears to be some weeping from the oil cooler. He says the oil is very light and wouldn't worry about it as it's very minimal, not running down the motor or anything. He will be sending me pictures. The car had 22 type 2 over shifts with the last being 120 hours ago. No indications of coolant on any of the fittings, the tank held pressure. I am planning on asking them for a new spoiler mechanism or reduction in the price of the car as i have been reading about this issue and it appears not to be a cheap fix. Where exactly is the oil cooler on the TT? I can't seem to find a picture of it anywhere.

You should definitely use an enclosed carrier especially with this time of year open carriers are not responsible for damage due to weather rocks and so on they are only liable for damages done to the car by them not the weather or road condition you can call Sam at Autobhan Transportation they did few cars for me and never had any issues they are located in Lemont IL if you google them their number should come up

When I shipped my X50 cab with 9K miles on it a while back I just used a std carrier. Nothing happened. They did a great job and I got it quick. If I was buying a $400K GT I would use an enclosed trailer.

Driving it sounds like a great option.

I would honestly prefer enclosed but with that said I see a lot more rare/expensive rides on the back of open carriers.

Very cool color combination, I don't think I have seen it before.

I would recommend driving it home.

No better way to start the discovery process of ownership.

Congratulations!

If you bought it at Park Place in Dallas, maybe you and I could come to an agreement for me to drive it out to you and then fly home.

Those are the best road trips ever!
