40-14-7.
No stationary speed detection device shall be employed by county, municipal, college, or university law enforcement officers where the vehicle from which the device is operated is obstructed from the view of approaching motorists or is otherwise not visible for a distance of at least 500 feet.

Arrgghh. Bad week for 996TT drivers. I also got one for 59+ in a 40. My first ticket in years... It was absolutely horrible luck.
As I pulled out in traffic I thought for sure my boost gauge read 1.4 bar. Concerned about the possibility of such a high reading, I decided I'd better make sure the car was not actually putting out 1.4 bar of boost. So, I downshifted to 2nd thinking I'd do a very quick burst to try to replicate the reading I thought I'd just seen. Of course, at that very moment, I'm fixated on the boost gauge, not the speedometer, nor the officer hiding out in the adjacent parking lot.
Looks like I'll get to spend a Sunday at traffic school... The only good news though... the boost level was fine.
