FASTEST Quarter Mile Time!
I have always wanted to and finally had the chance to see the big boys run. Went to an IHRA drag race in Milan, MI over the weekend.
How does 4.8 seconds at 301 mph grab you!! Top Fuel dragster over 5000 hp! WOW!
Those things shake the ground like a fricking earthquake! First time in my life I have ever seen in person a car cover the quarter mile in under 5 seconds and first time to see a car go over 300 mph!
They had funny cars, pro stocks, pro modifieds and of course 2 wheelstanders and 2 jet cars. Seeing the jet cars at night is awesome!
No Porsches there, I guess I should have brought mine!

Buddy, NHRA goes 4.40's at over 330 in good conditions. In a couple of weeks the NMRA will be in Joliet Ill. They have Outlaw Mustangs that look like they could be parked down the street and go 7.80's at about 180.

Eddie Bellow is working on a porsche drag car to run in the NHRA sportcompact series. There hasen't been to much on this car but I do know that it is full tubeframe chassis and will have the 6 sitting in the front of the car. He used to run a 911 in the street tire class back in the day, thing used to be famouse for its wheel stands. The import boys are hittin 6's @ over 200mph with 6cyl engines. They just keep gettin faster.
