IMHO that's the best year to buy! And the list of mods is perfect. The pics look like the car is pristine. That coupled with the detailed history and documentation make one impressive advertisement!

I think 2014 is probably the best year to buy.

I guess no one else got the sarcasm in Sanyata's post.

My post was meant to be tongue in cheek and respectfully sarcastic. No pics, no real description of the vehicle, its options and/or the $25,000 of upgrades. I thought that Tom might get the hint as blockhed suggested. Oh, You'll note my car is an '01.

Tom, sorry I didn't mean to derail your post.

I actually think the list price is too low for a 2001.

You'd think Rennlist is the best place to sell your car because supposedly it's full of enthusiasts that can appreciate these cars. Unfortunately you end up with a bunch of " know it all " that will ruin your for sale ad with stupid comments.
This is a " for sale ad " ,if you don't have anything positive to add or questions and not interested, then shut up and let the poor guy sell his car!

2004 thru 2005 is no different than 2002 and 2003, other than the MOST system, not sure why someone preferences 04 and 05.

Well, the 2004/2005 examples can be and almost always are at some level beyond the year of manufacture date stamped on the door build tag different than the 2002/2003 examples.

I'm sure you are aware of the the logic behind the desirability of a more recent MY vs. an older MY is the more recent MY's are the result of what was learned from the earlier MYs.

In short the later MY's are although the same basic car better than the cars that proceeded them because cars proceeded them.

or they could be worse due to updated parts that are not the same quality as the older part number. I prefer the analog system to the MOST system mainly becuase it is much cheaper to upgrade.

Macster thats a stretch. Care to tell me what makes them better. You ever consider that nothing is done because engineering is working on the net version. Pure speculation on your part. Especially when the previous model years really did not have any major issues as it pertained to design. In the engineering and product world it's called life cylce management.

There is a preoccupation here with low mileage cars which I find disturbing. Given a choice one would certainly opt for a 25k P car as opposed to one with 125k but when you look at a car that was driven
a thousand miles a year for twelve years the "bullet-proof" reputation flies out the window. 1K a year
means a drive to the dealer for an annual oil change and a dozen around the block drives on sunny days.

An under-exercised turbo is a service department's bread and butter dream car.
