Me too. Although I'm in no way a racer, I want to see other guy's TT mods and hopefully, get some of my own.

On the group drives we didn't "race", we just had spirited drives in the mountains. We did get together for food in Atlanta on occasion.

Suggest some dates and we can see who can come.

I used to go on some of the Porsche Pete's Boxster Board drives, and there were always some lowly 911s along for the ride holding us up. But I've not been since 2008, and that board is gone now, afaik.

I've met Thomapa1 from here, who graciously met with me when I had just bought my car. We're both in the north-Fulton area.

One of the problems right now (until October, basically) is the cycling community uses those roads also. It really limits how "enjoyably" you can take the blind corners, knowing that a Pinarello might be struggling up the hill at 8mph halfway through the turn. (and since I'm one of those guys some of the time also, I really take it easy when carving the blind uphills during cycling season, which are otherwise the funnest corners.)

It'd still be fun to meet up and drive soon, but it might need to be a little more relaxed than a November drive would be.

Yes, it's the PPBB organized drives I'm talking about. You may have seen my lowly Turbo on one of the drives.

Well, I didn't look in my rearview very often.

There was a lady, Marilyn I want to say, who was a moderator and used to organize the drives. She showed up in a new white base Cayman on one of the last rides I went on. I figured that group would keep doing the rides even after PPBB shut down. I sort of started doing my own thing and haven't hung with the Porsche community any in about five years.

So are there not any regular drives like that anymore?

Not a 996TT owner, but I'd be up for an Atlanta p-car drive too.

I too did some of the N. GA Mountain runs. Meredith was the PPBB Mod who was the social coordinator. Would love to get together with others and would even be willing to host at my home! Unfortunately, I am no longer in Midtown as we moved to Fayetteville. Open to suggested dates!

James, the vinyl is pretty tough, but easy to remove.

Meredith, yeah that was it.

October is no good for me -- at the beach all month. But you guys go ahead and do one and then let's do another in November when I'm back!

A guy approached me in a parking lot in Alpharetta Saturday and said he has a 997 C4S and we swapped info -- he's wanting to do the same thing as well.
