Default Rear Motor Mount Question

Ok, I bought something off of ebay called "GT3 Motorsports Motor Mounts" from a 996 GT3. The guy replaced them with solid ones and took these off of a 4k mile '06 996 GT3.

Unfortunately, I didn't look at my own motor mounts to see if they were the same part number. Oddly, there's 4 part numbers on these mounts:

993 375 049 05 blau
986 375 049 01 rot
993 375 049 07 Schwarz
993 375 049 06 weib

Now, it does appear that these are just plain ol 996 motor mounts, the same as on the 996TT and 996 GT3. So, here's my question....do you try to return them to the ebay seller? It's kinda my fault for not thoroughly researching it, or do I try to sell them here on RL and just take the loss?

Thanks for any input,
Scott

Yeah, it's my own fault for thinking I was getting factory motorsport mounts for a good deal ($150).

I'm just really concerned that the RSS or the TqSolns will be too firm. I know the motorsport ones are less stiff than those two options.

Scott,
If you want a Porsche product, then the 964RS semi solid engine mounts are great. I have them on my car and there is only a hint of vibration at idle other wise they are smooth. Very good product and a direct bolt in.

Yeah, that's probably where I'm headed. I like Porsche parts when I upgrade, mainly because I think it's easier to sell. I already have the GT3 Shifter, the 997 front tranny mount, GT3 rear sway, and this seems the next most logical step.

Besides the UMW stuff I have (and am lining up), I think I'll keep on the Porsche MoSpo path.

torque solutions are a 74 durometer scale. if im not mistaken the rs mounts are about the same. the only vibration i encounter is when i lay my hand on the shifter and decelerate. thats it . quiet as a mouse otherwise

That's great data, thanks. It looks like the WEVO's are 75A durometer for the black, the TS are 74's, and the factory RS's are roughly the same. The blue Wevo's are 85's, so they're definitely out.

Now comes down to pricing, the Wevo's and TS are $399.00 a set, and the RS's are $380.00 from Suncoast. Seems like you can't lose with any option you choose!

Do you have the part number for the mount?

While I don't like to post things from other websites, this link seems to have everything you'd need...and they came from Kevin @ UMW ultimately!

something else to consider is the room . not sure of the height of the rs mounts but my t/s were thin enough it allowed me to run 2.5" tubing for my 4.5" i/c . the oem mounts were an obstruction and i couldnt get the forge boost hoses on. ran the t/s and had tons of room for the boost hoses.

thats actually why i went to them needed the room
