Default Shift play with B&M short shifter, replacing bushings?

I've got some considerable play both side to side, and fore and aft in my shifter. I have a B&M short shift kit, installed by the PO.

I've edited the pic below to show what bushings/components seem to be causing play.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the white piece to the left of the shifter is an OEM part? Does it have play normally, or has mine worn out? It moves side to side considerably. Almost seems like there should be a thin, washer type bushing inbetween it and the plastic shifter mount (as noted in the pic below).

And the broken bushing in front of the shifter, is that B&M or is that OEM? Can it be replaced without purchasing a new SSK? It is causing a lot of play fore and aft.

Thanks all,
Connor

I have attached a pic of the B&M SSK assembly. The rest is either stock or some other part replacement. Both parts you point to are not part of the SSK assembly.

Hmm, that pic above doesn't have the anodized blue piece coming off the front, as seen in my pic. That can't be OEM as it matches the rest of the short shift kit. Maybe I don't have B&M...

That picture of a new B&M shifter does not show the aluminum bushings that press into the front and back of the plastic shifter housing.

Here's the installation instructions that show the bushings:

Definitely not OEM. It looks like the bushing supplied by B&M.

The bushing had to be defective (existing crack), or there was a bad installation, or there has been lots of pressure applied to the shifter.

I might have some spare bushings in the warehouse - email me and I'll check.

Looks like someone did not install properly.

Rep points for Eric for offering up spare parts.

Here is a pic of my B+M short shifte. Sorry, it's blurry and I'm posting the link where it's already on Rennlist instead of using up my precious photo bandwidth. The blue bushings are stock, like Doc says.

The white part on the right is a stock part, came with the car originally

Just to be clear, the blue bushings are stock B&M, not stock (OEM) Porsche.

Yes, that was what I meant. Thanks for clarifying.

Connor,

How far can you move the shift lever before the cables move?
