Default Anyone try BFGoodrich R1 tires for track use?

Just curious if anyone has tried BFGoodrich R1 tires for track use? Currently I use NT01s in a 235/40/18 and 315/30/18. I was thinking of trying the R1s in a 245/40/18 and 335/30/18. The R1s are actually lighter than the Nittos and priced comparably. The R1s run a touch small diameter wise which would help with sidewall flex and clearance issues where maybe even the 265/35/18 might fit up front. The 245 is 25.4", 265 is 25.0" and the 335 is 25.7" in diameter. Any thoughts?

Never tried these, but how do you like the NT01s and what wheels are those on?

Haven't tried BF yet, tried the Kumho 710 back on a stock suspension, grip is great, I didn't care for the NT01's, my suspension is super stiff and tires have to much side wall flex running stock turbo rims same size you have, to much drifting

I can see how running the 235/315 NT01s on stock rims would give you a bit of flex as the stock turbo twists are only 8" and 11" wide and would "pinch" the tire a bit. My CCWs are 9" and 12" and that helps stretch the tire a bit and stiffen it up.
