Any Recommended Tuners/Shops in Maryland/DC/Virginia Area?
Hey Folks,
I am planning out some of my mods for 2013 (UMW tune, PSS9, shifter, new radio head unit MP3/GPS/XM) and am wondering if anyone has had any experience with any of the tuners/shops around the Maryland/DC/Virginia area. I know there are quite a few, but coming from the Vette World I used a different set of shops entirely. I live in Boyds/Germantown, Maryland, which is just north of Potomac on the west side of I-270. My office is in Reston, VA. I'd like to start looking around and going on some recommendations from members here.
Regards,
John G

Maintained my UMW/PSS9 car for me. I'd be happy to assist you with doing the shifter if you want to drive down. It's pretty easy. I am in Reston most days for work as well.

Thanks guys. I appreciate it.
Hey Mike....we will have to meetup this Spring for a PCA event. I just joined the Chesapeake Chapter, but am all over the area in a given course of a week.

I'll have Kevin at UMW do my tune this Spring.
I am having to correct a few of the issues that surfaced from the prior owner...one of those things is definitely the shifter & cables...I think the car was modded extensively and then the parts removed and OEM stuff slapped back on. The shifter is complete garbage. I'm going with a GT3 and new cables (since the console is off) and eliminating any doubt as to what might snap or snap. Do it once and be done with it.
On the suspension, I'm going to start with the sway bars and links plus a good alignment. If I go with the PSS10 later then so be it. But I trust them to do the suspension work as it's their business.
Kevin's UMW product is solid and he's a guy I trust from talking with him.

I am actually going to be going with TPC Racing over near Columbia, MD for the suspension and GT3 shifter/cables.
