I have the opportunity to buy a set of JIC shocks for my C4S. The car is Used 90% street with 1-2 DEs a year. Will I regret having these for my street car? Anyone with first hand expereince? Too harsh for the street? I have PSS9s on my Turbo, i feel the comfrot level is adequate for a steet car. How does the PSS9s compare to the JICs?

I had JICs on my first 996TT. The ride will be determined by the springs you use. I started with the lower of their offerings, and went stiffer - but I was aiming that car more for track.. Get the shocks, with the lower spring set and you will be fine

I have them on now with the 8/12 spring rates and find them fine for the street. If you're targeting mostly street the softer spring set may be more to your liking. I did find them a nice improvement over stock and am very happy with them.

I have JICs on my turbo. Bought the car this way. Has JIC 8/12kg and 15 point adjustability. Honestly, it may be a bit harsh for daily driving if you spend alot of time in the car. I don't drive much, so not a huge deal - certainly not worth the money to replace it with a softer setup.
It feels like a sports car - which I like. Certainly not overly punishing - but not cushy either.
Does well on the track with this setup.
I have fudged with the adjustable settings and it makes a small difference - but do not expect a light switch.

Correct - I forget where I found the conversion tables, but the 8/12 setup correlated to something like 475 front 650 rear. The 7/11 set up will be a bit softer, but firmer than stock.

Many years and miles in my 8/12 JIC's.
NO issues. They are still in business and you can (as of 10 m ago) get these older ones repaired/rebuild. They are amazing on track and I am very satisfied. The newer option is the KWv3..but these are superb, reliable units.
Great on the street too. Car is corner balanced and seriously communicative. Not sure how to really say it except they were worth every penny.
My 2c.
