Default Thanks for the advice: my new (to me) '04 X50

Hi Everyone - I posted about two weeks ago asking for input and advice on a '04 Turbo I was looking to purchase. Thanks to the many of you that posted in the thread and also sent me PMs with great feedback on pricing / values. This is a great community and I appreciate it! With that, I'm very happy to introduce my TT:

2004 996 Turbo - Atlas Gray over Black (20k miles)
Options:
342 Heated Seats
X50 Turbo Power Kit
Y06 Alum. Look/Leather Gear Shift **** & Brake Handle
Y29 Alum. Look/Stainless Steel/Chrome Package
X54 Stainless Steel Exhaust Pipes
X70 Door Sills in Stainless Steel
X71 Instrument Dials in Aluminum Look
X97 Gear Shift **** aluminum/leather
X98 Brake Handle aluminum/leather

The car is bone stock except it has a silver crest on the hood, techart pedals and clear side markers. No other mods (yet ).

From Seattle I flew down to San Jose to pick up the car and finalize the transaction. PPI was very clean and I had a great trip back home with my brother...perfect dry weekend and we made it from Palo Alto to Portland, OR in about 9:15 mins driving time

The cars paint is immaculate but it has never had a clear bra on it. So, the first step back up here in the Seattle area was to get some protection on it. I went an Xpel film applied to the front third of the TT and also including the rocker panels, hips and few other strategic spots. John Kleven and his team at Metropolitan Detail in Bellevue did the work and, as usual, it came out fantastic!

Here are a few pictures:

So far I'm loving this car! The Atlas Gray is a super interesting color given how variable it looks depending on the light. I'd originally had my heart set on a Midnight Blue TT but was taken with Atlas.

Next project is getting some winter wheels and tires on it and getting my V1 hardwired in. PSS10 or KWv3's are too far behind but I do think I'll keep this car largely stock..we'll see.

Again, thanks to everyone here for the help and advice...I've been searching for just the right TT for almost two years so this really is a dream come true for me.

Congrats on purchase, it looks like you made the right choice, the Atlas Grey looks amazing. Can't wait to hear more about it after you get a few miles on it. We do offer Porsche Tire Bags for storage and PSS10's or KW's when your ready. Enjoy it and glad your dream finally came true.

Great color and awesome car. On a side note, do you plan on doing some off- roading

Thanks, Guys. Yes, some type of suspension will be the first real mod. I have KWv3's on my S6 and they've been great. I also know / hear that PSS10's are very good. I'll likely do 2-3 DE days a year, so want to keep more of a GT ride quality overall.

excellent result, mod bug on it's way I am sure. I have the KWv3's and am very pleased with them. The only downside is you cannot see them with wheels on ;-)

First nice find, much luck. My suggestion is just get the bumper cleared. If you do the hood, which is a partial coverage, the seam at the top gets dirty and collects wax etc, and you will definity see it after its been on awhile. The clear on the bumper can go from seam to seam, and it gets hidden very well. The hood doesn't hardly gets pitting, but the bumper does.
