The range 1 overrevs are pretty hard to avoid if you ever floor the gas pedal in first gear. My car hits boost and accelerates so fast in 1st gear that you need to immediately shift as soon as the boost hits or the rev limiter kicks in. I don't think there are many manual trans cars out there that don't have some range 1 overrevs - it doesn't seem to hurt them. Now range 2's - that's another story...

$53k seems to be a pretty good price in my opinion - that's a LOT of car for the $$

Today is the day. I fly down to California this afternoon to check out the car and (hopefully) complete the deal. Macster - thanks for the additional tips on DME and need for a nice, long test drive and ride.

Assuming yall goes well, I'll post a separate thread introducing the car (with pics, of course!) tomorrow or Sunday.

Thanks for all the notes and PMs with additional insight. It's going to be a great day!

Awesome! Best of luck...and good luck getting that smile off of your face during the entire ride home!
