I'm looking for bucket seats for my 996TT that will hold better and give me increased headroom over stock seats. Need them to fold so I can get the rugrats in the back. Anyone know relative seat heights for various Porsche options? Thanks!

997 GT2 seats are lower and tilt forward ($$$$$).
I have the "sunroof delete" option, drive with the seat full down and full back, and still just barely miss the headliner with the top of my head.

You don't really have any great options from Porsche. The 997 GT2 seats are amazing, but I have never seen a set for less then 8k. The fixed 6GT3 seats add headroom, but are best for smaller framed folks.
There actually was an option code on the 996tt for seat lowering brackets, that I dug up on 6speed as a factory option. I talked to multiple dealerships, but no one could find any parts to order.
I like the Sparco Milanos, but they are $4k+ per set with sliders and shipping.

I have installed the Recaro sportster reclining seat. I use them on track and had them modified for a 6 point harness. When you use the manual track sliders you will gain lots of headroom.
Good luck,
