Hi all. Just relo'd to PDX and looking for recommendations for mechanic: maintenance, and probably a suspension upgrade in the cards. Would appreciate input. Thx

Welcome to Portland; the land of slow and horrible drivers!

- Porsche factory parts and service - Sunset Porsche in Beaverton
- Body work - Precision First in Beaverton (Sunset uses them)
- Racing, suspension and alignments - Rothsport Racing

I do all of my own maintenance so not sure about cheaper independent shops for Porsche.

Bill, welcome to PDX - I agree with the other Portlander above...the only drivers worse than Oregonians are people from Idaho. Jeff Gamroth at Rothsport is THE man for performance enhancements.

I have also been happy with Matrix Integrated, they are located in town...Jeff's shop is out in the burbs.

You have no idea. End of this month. Already found the TT replacement, too.

I'm in Seattle
By reputation, Oregon state troopers do not have much tolerance for excess speed
so you have slow drivers and strict cops
kind of reminds me of a quote from an old Texas basketball coach; "We may be short, but we make up for it by being slow"

PM Carbon... He's from there and I believe uses Matrix.

For parts, Sunset can't be beat.

Congrats! Mostly on the former, but on the latter, too. What did you land on?

I haven't actually used Matrix for anything but a flat tire repair yet. I got an estimate from them for my clutch accumulator/slave job and it was so close to Sunset's quote that I just went for the dealer for some more peace of mind and an extra year of warranty.

What area did you move to Bill?

Oops- I forgot your name on here isn't Carbon!

Sunset does have a stellar reputation. My sister has used them for Audi service.

Hello Bucket

We landed in Lake Oswego.

I signed up for a DE event at PIR this coming Friday (Aug 17). Anyone here going?

Hi Bill,

Welcome to the PacNW. We're just down Hwy43(Macadam Ave) from you if we can be of any assistance.

Hi Jordan,

I'm surprised Sunset's quote was just a bit higher than ours, since our labor rate is $95/hr and I believe they're at $120/hr now?
We actually honor the same 2yr parts warranty as the dealer does on all OEM Porsche parts. I apologize if we hadn't already communicated that to you.

Please let us know if we can help with anything else!
-Jeremy

PS--Hi BillB!

Bringing up an old thread. We just moved to West Linn/ Lake Oswego border and am looking for a local/ semi local shop that is affordable + good rep. I lowered my car with H&R's springs and Bilstein B8's last year and now needing to raise it back up..... to be able to get into my garage!.. LOL. + needs alignment after, tune up etc. Have you found a shop you trust yet- ?
