My Nurburgring trip in the 996TT S !!
Always been to the Ring every year since 2006 and this time it was with the 996 turbo s . Was great !!! Busy on the road but managed a 180mph at some point without any drama !
Handling, braking, power delivery was absolutly fantastic on that track . When the tyres are hot it is smashing. Felt a bit heaving in some sections and do think that car would not do well on short small track.
Seen some fantastic cars there: Gumper Apollo, Various GT3's, GT3RS, GT2's and some GT2RS as well !!! Of course lots of GT-R and fast bemers .
It is the best place to see any type of Porsche in action , old one and new ones too. These GT3's are fast , scary fast.

We have a rule when we go there not to time ourself. It is a very dangerous track with nearly no run off...we don't race , we drive fast and try to get the line right. It is a very long and challenging track and sometimes very busy. Every laps I have done I have seen some crashed cars on the side: lambos, ferraris, M cars, Porsches ....etc. Last year I managed to do 3 laps on a friday night and I was the only one on the track, it was heaven !!!! No bikers and no Gt3's to scare the sh.t out off me !!!

Burning Brakes
Car looks great, great pics that I'm sure will be wallpapers for a while yet!
....did the ring first in my 996t (forgot to turn PSM off and cooked the rear brakes!) and more recently in my 964.....
...what other manufacturer makes a car that can be comfy('ish) there, blast around like it's a race car, and then cruise home, taking it all in its stride...
...not many that I can think of!
