I found an 03 TT with all the options that I was looking for. 2 owner car that was purchased by the current owner in 2004 as CPO with 10k miles. The car now has 19K miles. Completely stock. I am having a local dealeship PPI the car on Tuesday and will be flying to drive the car home on Friday if everything checks out.
Obviously, my concern is that the car has sat a lot and a 29 hr drive might be asking for trouble.
Please lend me your advice as to what I should make sure to do before embarking on the roadtrip.

I have my cars subjected to a "roadworthiness" inspection at a local dealer before I head out on a long road trip. My dealer's service department does this at no charge but I offer to pay up to an hour's labor. Worth peace of mind.
Be sure oil/filter is fresh.
Be sure all vital fluids are ok.
Test drive the car locally 30 miles to make sure the CEL stays off and the car runs/behaves ok fully warmed up.
Be sure the A/C, wipers, head lights, turn signals/etc work.
Have the car inspected for road worthiness *after* the test drive.
The techs will look for fluid leaks, cracked CV boots, nails and stuff in the tires and so on.
Be sure the spare is present, and the air compressor and it works, and the rest of the toolkit is complete.
Be sure the lug bolt socket fits all 4 of the wheels' special lug bolt! Try all 4!
Be sure both radiator fans come on from heat -- drive the car around town until full warmed up and then park it and race the engine until you hear/feel the fans come on and then check to see both are pulling about the same amount of air through the radiator openings and the discharged air is the same temp.
Check the radiator ducts for trash build up. The tech can blow this out while the car's on the lift.
Be sure the spoiler goes up and down with the switch and it is quiet.
Essentially because the car is an unknown to you you want to verify all systems are go before you head out.
And don't forget: Watch your speed!
Sincerely,
Macster.

Thanks everyone. I decided to send the fwd to ECE indy in Mass for the inspection. I've read a lot of good reviews online and would prefer them over the dealer. Fingers crossed that everything goes well.

Congrats on new ride. I have exact color combo only supple seats with no red trim. My Turbo is a 04. My purchase was similar. Purchased car in Walnut Creek from privat party. After PPI by Porsche Dealer there I drove car home to LA about a 300 trip. Was a fun drone. Enjoy you tt.

Same here!
Seal gray over black!
PPI at Greenwich Porsche. Flew down from Toronto. Drove it home but had to deal with exporting it from the US and then importing it into Canada. About 10 hrs.
Was a great drive and the car has been A W E S O M E.
Hope it works out for you the same.
