Default paddles for 996 tiptonic wheel?

Apart from a stick on Carbon Fiber extenssion to the tiptroninc switcheds, I havent seen a true paddle shifting wheel available for the 996TT tiptronic.
Anyone know of one or a solution?
And on another note, out of curiousity, does the 997 steering wheel work as a direct bolt on fitment for the 996?
THANKS !!

The 997 wheel hub is a completely different animal and cannot be retroed to an earlier car. I have yet to see a true paddle shifting solution that works well for the Tip cars.

I have a Gemballa Wheel on my 996 X50 Tip and it has buttons. Don't know the current price, but the PO Spent $1600 FWIW.

I did it on my car and it works better than the 997 wheel.

Put these words into the search and you will get to my thread:

"Tytus Paddle shift steering wheel in tiptronic 996tt"

Good luck,

I have a 996 TT with Paddle shifting. I got the wheel from Gert at Carnewal in Belgium. Google Carnewal and you should find him/them.
I have Carbon fibre and leather wheel to match the interior of my car. Wheel is slightly smaller and great. Gert is great to do business with also. Other materials and fabrics are available.

The wheel came with airbag and everything needed to install on the car. I think it took less than 1 hour of time. Wheel is "Raid" make I believe.

Check on the other thread about the 996 TT paddle shift steering wheel (it's currently just below this one) for pictures of the Carbon Fibre/Leather wheel from Gert at Carnewal installed on my 996 TT.

As mentioned, wheel is great but I have problems getting the decals to stick.
