Default Got UMW tune for my X50!!

Holly freakin ****!!!!!!

Car is an animal. It's absolutely crazy how freakin fast the car now is!

To anyone on the fence, do it!

I want to add, I read numerous posts telling how great Kevin's customer service is. That was important to me. I want to confirm that his customer support is second to none! He answered my NUMEROUS emails really quickly. Talked to him on the phone on a couple of occasions too. Very nice guy.

The power is crazy, the guy is great and the price is right! Two thumbs up!

What was changed? What was gained: HP, torque, etc?

I had the exact same reaction and mine isn't an x50.

Bates, the simple explanation is basically timing, fuel mapping, and boost pressure. I'm sure others can provide a much more technical explanation.

A good tune really unlocks the potential

Yes I did. But I had the wastegates a coupe weeks before the tune so I didn't have the full surprise of tune + wastegate.

I think it is around +70hp and +100lbs.ft

Enough to make silly laughing noises when you nail the throttle.

The numbers really dont do justice for the change. It is how power and torque comes out that numbers dont tell.

Mostly 1.1 sometimes it hits 1.2. But it's cold out here, around 5C today.

How did you have upgraded (1 bar) wastegates, before the tune?

I have an X50 as well - I'd been told (by knowledgeable guys I trust) that you can't upgrade the wastegates and run the stock programming... you'll trigger an overboost code and send the vehicle into limp mode. At least, that's the word on the street...

Congrats on the tune, BTW. I recently added an EPL tune to mine, and have experienced the same "whoa, that's crazy" moments.

Well, I just ordered mine today. Glad I saw this thread with so many happy customers.

Flash plus wastegate and datalogger set. Should have it next week.

I will let you know.

I had the wastegates first too- but only a week or so. I ordered a bunch of stuff, dropped in the wastegates and the EP2L but had to wait while Kevin did the programming. Car was more powerful, raw...but very rough. I hardly drove it, and was advised not to get on it.

Anyway, it CAN be done but shouldn't.

And when I put the programming into the DME, the car was transformed.

OP, what exhaust?

Still on stock exhaust. I drive with the kids in the back seats and I don't want a louder than stock exhaust.

If anyone has any suggestions...
