If you are just talking about the black splitter at the bottom, you can get a replacement for $130. Go to ebay and search "Bayson R" It's an exact copy of the original and it takes 5 minutes to swap it out.

For $130, I don't mind if I scrape it a little.

When I priced the OEM last year it was 3 something from Suncoast. I went off LVDell's recommendation since splitter damage is inevitable in my area.

No regrets. It fit perfectly and despite some scrapes on the underside is holding up well. It seems to have a little more give than the OEM.

I still have my original (and not because I have low standards); I've scrapped the bottom of it many times, but it still looks good as the bottom scrapping can't be seen unless you get down and look closely from below (not an easy task). I did sand the bottom a few times to remove the attached thin curly pieces that were hanging down post-scrape. If I ever need to finally replace the splitter, I'll buy an OEM piece since they have held up so well for me.

Mine was broken at one of the slots so it needed replacement. Bottom scrapes don't bother me because as you said, they aren't really visible. The new one has a few bottom scrapes. I have a spare in the box just in case.
