Default Laser Interceptor help

I will be getting back in the fold by the end of the month with a 2002 996TT. Can't wait. In anticipation of the blessed event, I have already purchased a quad hi power Laser Interceptor set up. I know where the front units need to go. On my former car, I had the Escort system, with a single rear unit mounted to the license plate holder. This has two units for the rear, need to be between 15-25 inches apart.
I had the brilliant idea of cutting slots in the rear bumperettes, then getting them painted to match the gloss finish, but in practice not workable
Has anyone got any experience/ideas/photos of their install?

In most cases the police officers will target the license plate for best laser reflection....so this is where the jammer should be located...not sure what to do with two (seems unnecessary as the most frequent event is frontal assault).

not sure why the choices were two or four detector/diffuse units, I would have thought two up front, one rear would have sufficed
I'll figure it out when I get my hands on the car
just looking for ideas

Since you have four I'd either put three up front or sell one of them. You don't need two in the rear.

I was driving from San Francisco on 280 just S of the 101 interchange, and lo and behold, a CHP lasered me. Fortunately, I was in "paranoid mode" because my detector was giving me some sqawks from the rear where there was another CHP behind me.

Sometimes, it's not just paranoia. They really ARE you to get you. Maybe I should've gotten a black TT instead of a speed yellow one.

Where did you mount the front sensors fly2low on your TT? Any pictures?

on my last car they were mounted high and medial (towards the middle) between the horizontal slats of the intake. You could not see them without getting down and looking in. Don't have pics of the old car, and haven't got my new one yet. I have looked at pics of wross996tt, and he has the Escort system. He might have pics

I Have the escort system, two in the front exposed through the ducts on the shin spoiler, the radar detector receiver in the lower grill, and two on the rear plate, one on the top and one on the bottom of the plate.

Sorry to hijack but for someone who is not able to install themselves, where are you having something like this installed? From what I can tell LI does not sell through dealers and I'm having trouble finding someone of skill to commit to install.

HeLp!

contact them for installation sites in your area
I have two to choose from if I do not do it myself
it should not be that hard, just time consuming - which is what I am short on

i did and got the list from LI. Called 3 places to get quotes and lets just say they were heavily penalizing for using a system they didn't sell. Really makes installation not economically feasible. Reputation of LI is amazing, just getting frustrated getting one installed.

i'll keep looking.. someone will take my (reasonable) money to install

To go back to the original question, I have my one behind the front number plate over here in the UK.

You ok there dude? I hope you don't think I was rude? Just trying to confirm I was not in a position to assist you, mainly due to geography. I wish I could help you. Hope you find somewhere.
