Sounds like how my tranny rebuild started. I would be cautions about diagnosing this your self. I tried the advice of the boards, ie new tranny mount, new engine mounts, new 997ssk and and fluid change, and a GT2 hydro conversion.

All of this made the car nice to drive, but it was not until I had the third gear syncros replaced was it discovered that the dog teeth on my third gear had walked and were in contact with other gears. . . .

Take it to a good Porsche indie. . . .
