My used car research has turned up different prices for the same car.
There seemed to be no pattern. Sometimes the 'best' price was in the newspaper, or at the dealer, other times at the dealer's web site. More than once I'd run the mouse cursor over the 'net price and a o popup window would appear offering the car a "Special Price". Sometimes this was truely a lower price but sometimes it was more than the car was being offered for through another medium.
The prices varied a considerable amount. In the case of my Turbo from a high of around $62K to a low of $59K. (I ended up buying the car for $57.7K.)
Other cars, but not all cars, I looked at offered by other dealers had similar variations in prices.
I quickly developed the habit of checking the price of the car every where the car was offered for sale to find and note the lowest price. And I printed the ad or kept a copy if the ad was in a paper for my records.
Sincerely,
Macster.
