Wheel Balancing Problem

Problem sorted and here's an update for anyone that's interested:
Spoke to Andy at TCS, who I bought the car from, last week and he suggested taking the wheels back to Alloy Art in Southend, who had re-furbed the wheels in January, to see if they could identify the problem. He came and collected the wheels on Saturday morning left car on axle stands in my garage as I departed to Florida Sunday morning.
Wheels went to Alloy Art yesterday and this was Andy's response;
"wheels were dropped off to AA this morning.
We’ve got to the bottom of the balancing problem.
Basically the wheel rims are hollow and the rubber seals that stop water getting into the inside of the wheels had perished.
With the water sloshing around inside the wheels it would have been impossible to balance the wheels.
The rubber seals have now been ordered, replaced and tyres refitted and re-balanced.
All now good. I would imagine Jon @ AA will charge us a nominal amount for his time, effort and seals.
Wheels will be delivered back at some point this week.
Panic over!!!"
It's a big relief to get to the bottom of my problem and nice to know that I won't have to source and pay for replacement wheels.
So for anyone who experiences problems balancing hollow spokes in future worth considering that you may have same (unusual) problem as I had.

I am sorry but you are being lied to here. The spokes can indeed be hollow, but there is no way for water to intrude, or "seals" that are necessary. The wheels have no entrance to the hollow portion at all. The wheel is completely sealed.
Something was wrong with the wheels and the shop performed another repair on them......
