Default Suspension Upgrade

I want to upgrade my suspension, and was leaning toward the PSS10, but then found the X73 (new first choice). The problem is that it will lower my nose about 1.3" and I currently only have about 1/2" clearance getting into my driveway from the street (angling it in).

I don't plan to compete, but will do a DE once a year or so.

What kind of improvements can I expect if I go to Bilstein HD's and H&R sway bars, leaving the springs alone?

I have the X73 and love it. The car is very compliant. A bit more than a "street" setup but nothing that isn't tolerable. You just get reminded when you are on a surface that is less than optimal.

Probably just enough to have a blast in that Cabriolet one time a year!!

In fact, I'd bet you'd have a blast in your car just the way it is if for only one event per year. Have fun!

I can have a blast in my cab driving to the grocery store.

I'd like to flatten out the turns a little and reduce some of the squat and nosedive under hard accel/decel.

I know I won't get X73 like performance, I just want to know if it will make a noticeable difference.

I found a vague reference to an X75 suspension in the 996 Essential Companion. This appears to be the X7 suspension for the turbo cab.

However, a google search turns up zip on the X75. Does anyone have any information on this?

So with a little help from Gert Carnewal, I was able to determine that the X73 will work just fine on the Cab, and that I currently have the ROW suspension. Therefore, I will be able to add the X73 and still get up my driveway (just barely).

Number two son and I are going to tackle the project. I'll try to document with pictures as we go. Maybe it will make a good DIY.
