Normal? Happens when car is off or on

That's the clutch switch. Basically doesn't let you start the car without the clutch depressed.

The clutch switch on these cars is much louder than any other car I've ever driven.

Definitely normal. It's loud in my turbo and in the 996 Cab I drove today. I need to get something on my clutch spring though because I get an annoying creak or squeal noise in the clutch near the back of its path of travel.

Just take the spring out. I've become a big fan of this. You will be amazed at the difference in feel.

I did the Home Depot spring mod, on Saturday, but I'm going to take it out this weekend. Even that little spring takes some of the feel out.

BTW. No more creak.
