Default clutch pedal resting on the floor!

Hi all. My clutch has lost all pressure. The pedal is on
the floor... It engaged very low a few times, then went
all the way down.
Obvious problem/fix? No warning lights at all.
thanks,
Joe

IIRC the connectors on the clutch lines can loosen and allow air into the system and this can result in the symptom you report.

I guess a check of the lines would be in order and then a clutch system bled to remove the air.

But I'm not sure how to know for sure the cause of the problem is what I said above.

Have you tried pulling the clutch pedal off the floor? Does the clutch work if you depress it again?

Have you checked the fluid level in the power steering reservoir -- in the engine compartment -- and under the front trunk lid and the panel in front of the driver, the clutch slave cylinder reservoir?

Any signs of fluid leaks either on the panel under the front trunk lid or under the car? The fluid might not be hitting the ground either, but instead is blown back and has coated the underbody panels with fluid that can extend from the front of the car all the way back to where the panels end.

Sincerely,

Macster.

That doesn't sound good. Is the power steering working ok? If so I don't think that would indicate a fluid loss if I understand the relationship correctly (may not as I am still learning).

Interested in how this works out.

Update! The shop guy pulled the pedal up with his foot, and it stayed up, and
seems to be working fine. They suggested bleeding the hydraulics (or replacing
master and slave! $$$)

I had a similar problem after changing the accumulator and clutch slave. It was air in the system and after a few times on the floor it went away. My tech told me there is a built in air release function. I'm sure bleeding it can't hurt but I never did.
