I think it was inevitable that the seller would get banned. They admitted to selling damaged wheels without full disclosure and displayed little care for the risks assumed by the buyer. No forum needs or wants those kinds of members.
The sponsor should never have sold the repaired wheels. Again, what forum wants a sponsor that sells dangerous products to the forum membership.

YGBSM on 6speed's response! Very revealing that the vendor was more upset with you for not going to them first before making it public but said NOTHING about how or why shoddy wheel repairs were leaving their shop.
LOL @ "Stop your rhetoric Don"...it's only a matter of safety for you and those around you (and whoever else unknowingly has wheels about to fall out from under them).
