Default New Turbo Owner

While I am not one to post a new vehicle, I am very pleased with a 2003 996 Turbo I purchased recently. 21,000 Miles Midnight Blue, Full Leather Black Interior, PCM II, CF Steering Wheel and Shifter, with Aerokit added at dealership when purchased. Second owner purchased from another dealer 2007 at 15,000 miles and added GIAC Flash, EVO Intake, Upgraded Diverter Valves, and Short Shifter, work done by Lufteknic in Richmond, VA. MSRP $127,085 (Not Including Aero).

Also I have ordered the stock Front Lip Spoiler 996-505-355-0001C and Clear Side Markers. I just do not like the Aero spoiler for some reason.

Very nice! do you have all the records for the car? if not make sure you change that oil ASAP and put some good stuff in, I am not familliar with GIAC but if your boost shows 1 bar at wot you probably are making about 460 - 480hp

Default WOT?

Definitely have this scheduled next week. Car was only driven 800 miles since January 2010! Oil was last changed Lufteknic 03/17/2009 at 19,657 miles.

What does wot mean?

Congrats on the Turbo.

Does it have the stock exhaust?

Definitely change the oil. And you may want to use a fuel system cleaner such as Redline SI-1. Cleans the engine of unwanted carbon build on valves and cylinders from lack of use. Otherwise enjoy your new Turbo. She seems to be a great ride especially for the great price you paid.

For all the kind words from current Turbo people. I checked the bar reading in second gear and saw 1.1 bar. The acceleration is unreal.

I believe exhaust is stock. The receipts for the Flash include diverter valves, evo intake, and short shift. No mention of any changes to the exhaust. And sticker does not show any added options here either.

Also fuel cleaner sounds like an excellent idea. 800 miles from Jan 2010 to Feb 2011 is not much, and I have put 500 miles on the car since Saturday.

It looks like you have the EVO Stage 1 program (which is GIAC tuning).

I've got EVO Stage 2 and it sustains 1.1 to 1.2 bar. Haven't had any problems with it at all since installing it over 6 years ago.

nice find...the aero kit is a great option plus the fixed wing eliminates a lot of issues associated with the hydraulics on th stock wing. enjoy in good health.

Beautiful car. I love that color so much. Seems like a decent price considerig the options, condition and mileage. Nice work!

IMHO, it is best to run fuel system cleaner (Techron, et. al.) immedately before an oil change.

That is what I will do. Also, I had heard about the wing issues, so I guess the fixed wing solves that. The wing does hold water on top and the paint work done at the original dealer has issues. My paint guy says he will just sand and re clear. Should work out.
