All because someone at Porsche decided to use glue on an otherwise perfect engine...Ouch.

Thanks for the response, and for the heads up on the water pump. Mine is a 2001 with 48k. I'm replacing the coolant tank while I'm at it as well.

No worries and yep that crusty coolant expansion tank is a gonner too...
