Default brake pad & rotor recommendations

I need to replace my brakes and was wondering what are the best options for a daily driver and occassional track sessions...oem or other.

You'll need to define what "occasional" track sessions means. To some of us it is 30 track days a year, to others is just 3-4 a year.

Also, what type of driver (more specifically braker) are you?

Not OEM for track. I've had good success with PFC-01 on front and PFC-06 on rear using stock calipers and rotors. PFC will squeel on the street.

Stock rotors and calipers.
Perhaps the Pagid Sport Blue Pads.
As, Accelerator said the PFC -01 or 97 compounds will squeal on the street as will either the Pagid Orange or Black.
Have heard some say Hawk could be an option, but no experience with them.
The blues, should be a fair compromise.

Any pad that is not designed for the street (i.e., have a higher fricton coefficient) will squeal on the street as you won't be able to get them to temp.

Do you know how to change pads? I do this before and after EVERY event so I drive on PFC's at the track and stock pads on the street.

As far as rotors, you are just fine with stock rotors.

As far as the 350mm rotor it will only make a difference if you drive your car hard on track (i.e., brake hard and deep). I started out with the stock sizing and after about 15 min of a session my brakes would start to outgas. They pads were PFC race pads and the fluid was SRF. Adding the cup brake ducts for better cooling and moving to the 350 setup F&R gave me what I needed to get to the end of a 30 minute session.

I would first try a high quality brake pad (i.e. Pagid) and a "very" high quality brake fluid then go from there. Driving on the track does have a tendency to become addicting. Good luck.

I use stock rotors and calipers....EBC reds (quiet right off, a carbon pad, "super street") were in my early DE's.

I just went to EBC yellows and they squeaked for 2000 miles despite all needed and guru tricks to avoid squeaking, use of included anti-squeal pads, etc.....funny thing, on the street they grab fast, so you have a more BMW sense of things (not bad) but on the track, you get the modulation needed and fade resistance...and so far they seem to last. I actually like these better on the street and on the track I don't get into any issues.

Cheap too...

Dust: red=low, yellow=lots and lots

Just as important is fluid. I happen to have just decided on using only CASTROL SRF. Just my choice. YMMV.

I think I might copy LVDell and get the cup ducts...where are they cheapest?..
