John,
Thanks for posting but I agree with Manny. I guess they don't make one in between the two; the proportions would be better.
Thanks again.

I've now had the wheel for almost 2 years and love the wheel and the shifting. I know it's imaginary but it does seem more responsive to shift commands.
Can't get the Porsche decals to stay on though. Might have to try super glue!

This steering wheel looks awesome !!! Better with the small 3D sticker i think. I want to get one of these too fo rmy 2003 C2 Tiptronic but since my car is Nepheite green interior i wondwer if this wheel comes in that color. Techart do one but for over 2500euros which is a lot
I wonder also if any software upgrade is needed for such a mod, i think i read some other place that there is one available for such a mod... ???

I don't like the dots on the wheel or the color of the paddles. It cheapens the look of the wheel IMO.
I've put 21K on my 03 TT tip but I've only had the car 2 yrs & 8 months. 17K was in the 1st yr. I point that out because I learned to shift w/ the buttons ASAP after getting the car and drive in manual mode 99.5% of the time. I've not had a problem or an accidental shift yet. But I would consider just adding the paddles if possible. Espeacilly if they were a different color and a tad longer.
It would also be cool to have them curve back towards the drive so they sit in easier reach for your thumbs to push. But maybe they are closer then the pics seem?

I have driven with this wheel for almost 2 years and it is fabulous. I drove the stock wheel for about 7 months and it was fine for general driving but horrible in autocross and on the track. If you don't drive autocross you can get by with stock on the track as the steering maneuvers are not as aggressive, but in autocross when your hands are crossed you will eventually inadvertently down shift.
The paddle shifter feel, size and position are actually better than Porsche paddles on a PDK. They have a crisper feel and click and a shorter throw than the OEM, not to mention the better feel and size of the wheel. This wheel received praises from guys I met at the track with PDK paddle wheels.
The position is ideal for properly positioned hands on a wheel and the muscle memory of left down shift and right up shift makes for more intuitive shifts in a track environment. For street driving and cruising the paddles are not necessary and the stock buttons are fine.
Black would have been my choice of color if it was available but it is possible that with time the color could wear and the silver will look better longer.
