Unfortunately I can't seem to upload a picture or attach either. Must be missing something. I can email it though. Might be as I only have the very basic membership in the list?

The wheel looks awesome! I have the carbon interior package but it is old and faded so I thought a carbon wheel color would look inconsistent with the rest of the car so I didn't get it. I also wanted the flat spot and smaller diameter of the Race wheel. Your car is newer and the wheel really dresses up your interior. I like the colored emblem, my original wheel had a black and silver emblem, this looks much better.

How is the quality of the decal and does the glue feel permanent? Can you get a close up of just the decal?

Good job, thanks in advance.

I will try for a close up of just the decal using a better camera. Will try to do on the weekend and use one of the spare decals off the car so to speak.

The decal quality is very high and the 3D effect works well. This concept is known as a "domed" decal and is well known in the industry (decal industry that is - I have a client in the printing business).

Not so sure about the glue yet. Worst case scenario is I use better glue (carefully)

Here's the best I can do with the decal picture. Unfortunately there is some glare in the photo but it's not on the wheel/decal so to speak.

Its a cheap decal...just get it from lefteris and be done with it!

I would do it if I had this wheel! The result is much better looking.

Hi jcb,

I went into the lefteris (pcars) site. Their 45mm decal is exactly the same decal as shown above.

However, I appreciate the info as they also have a 72mm one and that is the size I really wanted in the first place so I placed an order. Their pricing for the 72mm one (I ordered 3) is about the same as what I paid for the 3 45mm ones from the other place where I was charged significant shipping.

Thanks for the help.

Hi jcb and others. The small decal that I now have on the wheel is exactly the same (identical) to Porsche part number WAP 107 066 14 as shown in the 2010-2011 Porsche Design Driver's Selection catalogue. I'm using the German catalogue at this point. I have both the factory decal and the one above and they are one and the same.

Waiting for the larger decal from Lefteris and it should be here next week. It doesn't show in the Porsche catalogue.

John,

Please post pics of the larger decal when you get it. I assume you will put it on your wheel so please post it on the wheel as well. Did you get a smaller diameter wheel or is it the stock size?

Thanks,

Tytus

The wheel I got from Gert in Belgium is the 340mm Carbon/leather wheel. It is about 1-1.2" smaller diameter than the stock wheel.

If you go into the lefteris site you can see the larger decal picture. I will post a picture on the wheel once I get it.

Here's a picture of the wheel with the larger (72mm) crest from Lefteris.
Not sure which crest I prefer as this is a little bigger and also the yellow colour not as good as the smaller one.
