I have the ZR-3 shifter system on my car. I mounted one unit below each of the headlights (where they aim a laser) and one above my rear plate. The control interface was mounted in my storage shelf below the radio. It took some time but I took the wire from in the bumper to through the headlight (remove it to see where you can pass the wire) then into the trunk area. keep going behind the carpet until you push it through the brake booster area (it will come out near the pedals) and then string it into your console. wrap the connector in duct tape and tape a zip tie to the connector so you can push that part through first then you can pull on the zip tie. I zip tied all connections to make it neat. The rear will be a similar approach (my Boxster was through the rear bumper plate light, into the trunk from a wiring harness hole, then under the carpet on the side, into the engine bay and into my cabin, under the shifter area and into the main unit.)
