FS: 996 GT2 Bumper
I have an extra factory 996 GT2 bumper painted in black with the center duct, and rubber lining. Only a few parts needed for a properly done full OEM GT2 front conversion for a 996 Turbo, mainly just the right and left air ducts (a competent mechanic still has to angle the radiator properly) and some miscellaneous parts that cost around $1400 total to do an OEM full conversion.
996-505-311-30-G2X Bumper Cover
996-505-563-30-01C Air Inlet
996-505-564-30-01C Air Inlet
996-505-561-30-01C Air Inlet
996-575-326-30 Bumper frame (front diffuser)
996-575-325-30 Bumper Air Duct
996-505-741-30-01C Bumper HID
996-505-742-30-01C Bumper HID
Also includes a used spoiler lip 996-505-555-30-01C
Retail price on these parts from my local dealer is approx. $6,800.
Bumper is painted in black (non-metallic), and is in mint condition.
Save big and buy it for $3200 + Shipping (must be shipped by Freight due to size of box). I would prefer local pickup in Southern California.
Parts needed to do "full" OEM Conversion for 996 Turbo to GT2 front are:
996-505-773-32 Spacer Panel
996-505-531-30 Retaining
996-575-321-30 Air Routing
996-575-322-30 Air Routing

996-504-679-31 Spacer Sleeve
996-504-413-30 Radiator Bracket (Lower)

According to Suncoast, these parts total approx. $1400

it is a bad economy but 4600 bucks plus shipping, paint and installation for a bumper is a tough sell
personally i will probably pick one up at some point but find it hard to justify the expense when engine mods are much more appealing

It sounds expensive, until one realizes that it costs almost $8000 + shipping + paint to do it right using OEM parts from the dealer. Even if you get a wholesale discount at a place like Suncoast, you're still looking at $7000+++
Engine mods are appealing for sure, but to be honest, my engine mods cost considerably more than $5K. The Europipe on my 996 GT2 alone was $5500. The Titanium Akrapovic setup for my 997 GT2 runs $17K. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

Would the same parts be needed to use the bumper on a 996 C4S?
My front bumper cover took a hit in a parking lot, and I need to replace it. I'm considering upgrading to the GT2 bumper, but I haven't decided yet...

The same parts would be needed on a C4S if you want to have the enhanced cooling ducts for the brakes and radiator, which in turns creates additional downforce since the air flow is directed through the radiator which is now tilted at an angle, and pushed upward through the center duct and out the front diffuser. This aerodynamic effect is quite significant at speed.

Maybe what you are failing to see is that few people with a TT worth between $35k and $55k want to spend $4400 + paint + labor for a bumper cover. It could exceed 15% of what their car is worth and may look out of place unless an upgraded spoiler and side skirts are added. In this economy this stuff unfortunately won't add a dime to the value of a 10 year old car. As we all know this stuff is originally priced to attract buyers that don't have to ask "how much" and there are few of those wanting to trick out old TTs.

From the other side of the fence here, anyone with a GT2 style rear wing should consider this setup for proper aerodynamics... I'm seriously considering it, but I have TWO TT bumpers and three lower lips (4S,TT, and Carbon Aero) and don't really want to think about shipping all that to get into the GT2 setup...Although I am, still...

However, thank you for the wonderful insight, it was quite illuminating.
