Hitachi maf is around $650 (include new aluminum housing for Vflow). OE stock maf is around $300. I decided to pay it once and keep good sounding V-flow. (Feel bad to throw it away anyway. It is $600 and sound good.)

Makes sense Aroon. I noticed the cool sound missing after selling my V-flow too but I got it back when I had the Evoms inlet pipes installed recently.

There is a new maf option coming out for our cars soon and I think I will be trying it depending on cost.

I don't have any details of the new maf option but I am interested like you. But the maf I am using now seems to be working just fine so I'm in no rush either..

get rid of the VFLOW problems solved. Yes Porsche engineers know what they are doing the factory box is almost as good as it gets without throwing $$$$ at it.

What about the new synthamax oil free filter that is now available for the V Flow? They claim 100% MAF safe? Has anybody tried it?

I just purchased a 2002 Rturbo that has the VFlow and I am experiencing occassional hestitation when shifting from first to second.
