Default 01 with 55k or 03 with 66k - Which one?

I am looking at two cars. They are the exact same color and options. The price is nearly exactly the same on both. Both check out very well by mechanics.

Which to go with; 2001 with 55k miles OR 2003 with 66k miles?

opinions?

Personally, as somebody shopping for a TT, I would choose the 03 if the records show meticulous maintenance. Miles don't scare me....lack of care does.

Difference in miles is pretty negligible between the two - I'd have the 03.

Service history is a much better indicator than year or miles. For sale by owner or dealer? Why is the price the same for both cars? I know the market is really soft but is there another reason?

The 03 would be my choice, provided condition ok. 66K miles kind of high -- but not scary high -- so I'd try to use that to negotiate a lower price.

I have an 03 Turbo and it is fantastic car. Earlier examples fantastic too but newer is better and the 03 example is several years into the model run so it has improvements the earlier model years don't have.

Sincerely,

Macster.

Thanks for the input...

Do 01's have rain and darkness sensors as standard, or are they options?

Thx

03 you get a glove box
My 03 has 65K. Miles are not a problem if taken care of.
